We are pleased to announce the inaugural presentation of the first annual Virgin Islands International Film and Video Festival, to be held from February 6th through 12th, 2000 at the Reichhold Center for the Arts. The event is designed to promote films and videos that foster better understanding among different peoples and cultures. In order to give audiences an opportunity to experience the best in cinema over as wide a range of themes and styles as possible, we believe that it is important to exhibit new undiscovered filmmakers along side more established directors and producers. In addition, the Virgin Islands International Film and Video Festival is devoted to showcasing only those selections that have their origins in either Africa, the Americas and the Caribbean.
