Morgan State University

The Morgan State University Choir is one of the nation’s most prestigious university choral ensembles. The choir has taken its unique brand of gospel, classical and contemporary popular music to Canada, Africa, Asia and Europe, performing with outstanding orchestras the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Reader’s Digest has named the ensemble “The Best College Choir in the U.S.”

As a singer, songwriter and producer, Hammond has been part of every facet of reggae music, including ska and dancehall. George Benson

George Benson has established himself as one of the greatest guitarists in jazz. His versatility extends to the pop world where his smooth lyrics spawned such hits as “The Greatest Love of All,” “This Masquerade” and “Give Me the Night.” In 2006, Benson teamed with jazz powerhouse and crossover artist Al Jarreau on the CD “Givin’ It Up,” featuring covers on songs by Sam Cooke, Billy Holiday and others. The pair also made new arrangement of each others’ biggest hits – Jarreau adding lyrics to and singing Benson’s signature instrumental smash “Breezin’,” while Benson delivers a lovely instrumental version of Jarreau’s hit “Mornin’.” |
